Fremont death notices: school founder, former body builder, youth sports booster

Hazel Andrews: Former Fremont resident Andrews, 76, died June 18 in Yuba City. She served as president of Fremont Youth football league and other youth sports clubs.  

James Barnes: Barnes, 77, died June 4. He founded the school at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Fremont. 

Alex Bernard: Bernard was 84 when he died on June 16. A longtime Fremont resident and former body builder, he loved his family, the San Francisco Giants and the 49ers.

Helen Calabretta: Calabretta lived in Fremont for almost 50 years before moving to Atascadero in 2009. She died June 15 at age 84.
