Fremont Grass Fire Burns In Central Park

FREMONT, CA — A grass fire broke out in Fremont's Central Park near Lake Elizabeth at around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Fremont Fire Department firefighters spent almost two hours putting out the blaze.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The fire department estimates that less than an acre burned.

One unit was sent back to the park at 5:30, but cleared the scene in less than a half hour.
