Fremont Man, Baby Killed In Crash Near Placerville
A third person also died in the collision, a woman from Stockton.
EL DORADO COUNTY, CA — Three people were killed in a traffic accident on Highway 50 in El Dorado County on Tuesday, including a man and baby from Fremont. The third person was from Stockton.
The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office identified the victims as 51 year old Javier Urenda and 1 year old Cielo Urenda , both of Fremont, and 24 year old Nancy Jimenez of Stockton. All three were in the same vehicle. The driver of the other vehicle suffered major injuries.
The crash happened in Camino, just east of Placerville, between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash. According to reports, roads were slick at the time of the wreck.
