Fremont: Outback Steakhouse Closes Permanently

The restaurant was open through the end of January.

FREMONT, CA — Outback Steakhouse has permanently closed its restaurant in Fremont.

The steakhouse, at 5525 Stevenson Blvd., was open through the end of January.

For Outback fans, the closest steakhouses are at the Great Mall in Milpitas and in Dublin, according to the company's website. You may place an online order for delivery. Outdoor dining is also an option.

By early December, more than 110,000 restaurants across the nation had closed permanently because of coronavirus, according to the National Restaurant Association. The trend continues in 2021.
