Injury Crash Backs Up Traffic On Highway 84 In Fremont

FREMONT, CA — A crash on State Route 84 in Fremont Sunday afternoon left at least one person with minor injuries and shut down two lanes, backing up traffic, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The collision, at the Dumbarton Bridge toll plaza, was reported at 1:48 p.m., reportedly between a blue sedan and a toll booth, according to preliminary CHP logs. An ambulance was called to the scene.

The 4 and 5 lanes were closed as of 2:10 p.m., and a traffic alert was issued, advising drivers to expect delays and use alternate routes.

There was no timetable for when the roadway would be reopened.
