Motorcyclist Killed In Fremont Crash Over Weekend

FREMONT, CA — A motorcyclist died Saturday evening following a collision with a car in Fremont, police said Monday.

Officers and firefighters responded at 5:36 p.m. to the collision at Dalgo Road and Mission Boulevard.

The motorcyclist, 50, was driving south on Mission Boulevard as the driver of the car was heading east on Dalgo Road, according to police.

The car entered the intersection with the driver intending to make a left onto northbound Mission Boulevard when the motorcycle hit the driver's side of the car.

The motorcyclist died at the scene, police said. The name of the person was not available Monday from the Alameda County coroner's bureau.

The car's driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Police said they do not suspect the driver was under the influence.

The fatal traffic collision is the fourth this year in Fremont.
