Ohlone baseball star AJ Curtis selected first-team All-American

Also receiving major honors are Renegades pitchers Ethan Skuija and Liberty High graduate Stirling Strong

Ohlone College first baseman AJ Curtis, an Amador Valley High graduate, was selected to the ABCA/Rawlings Pacific Association All-America First Team.

Curtis, a sophomore headed to Division I power Cal State Fullerton, was also picked to the all-State team. He was the Coast Pacific Conference Player of the Year.

Ohlone sophomore pitcher Ethan Skuija, a transfer from British Columbia, was picked to the All-America second team and all-State team. He was the conference Pitcher of the Year.
Renegades sophomore reliever Stirling Strong (Liberty) was selected to the all-NorCal and all-Conference teams.
Curtis finished with a .421 batting average, ranking fifth in the state. Skuija finished tied for first in the state in wins with 13 and fifth in ERA at 1.70.
Strong (4-1, 2.50) finished tied for first in the Coast Pacific with six saves.
Ohlone (39-8) repeated as champion of the Coast Pacific conference, advancing through the CCCAA Regional and Super Regional, to the NorCal finals before falling to eventual state champion San Joaquin Delta two games to one.
