Police Search For Suspect In Home Invasion That Left 1 Dead
Fremont Police sought the public's help in locating a man wanted in connection with a home invasion robbery that left one dead.
FREMONT, CA — Police were searching for a man suspected of taking part in a home invasion that left one of his associates dead in early April.
Lajon Harris, 20, is wanted in connection with a home invasion incident that took place at the Mosaic Apartments on April 10, the Fremont Police Department said in a statement Saturday. During the incident, a 19-year-old was fatally shot by a resident from inside an apartment.
On April 5, detectives searched Harris's home in Stockton but were unable to find him. Police said Harris is known to frequent the areas of Stockton, East Palo Alto, Menlo Park and San Francisco.

Police suspect that Harris was with Gerardo Landa-Sandoval, 20 and one other unidentified person when the three tried to force entry into an apartment. Landa-Sandoval and Harris fled on foot.
On April 20, undercover detectives arrested Landa-Sandoval near the San Francisco Airport. During a search of his vehicle, authorities recovered a loaded handgun. Another search at his home turned up additional ammunition.

Landa-Sandoval was arrested on suspicion of home invasion robbery, conspiracy and possession of a loaded/concealed firearm. He was booked into the Santa Riga Jail with a $240,000 bail.
A pre-trial hearing is scheduled for July 22 for both Landa-Sandoval and Harris for their connection to the home invasion robbery.
