Reservations Required Thanksgiving Week On Capitol Corridor

Amtrak is enforcing coronavirus restrictions on the number of riders allowed, and the trains are expected to sell out.

EAST BAY — Capital Corridor will be requiring reservations for passengers traveling between Nov. 23 and Nov. 30 on the Auburn/Sacramento and San Jose train route, with several stops in the East Bay, to accommodate an expected increase in riders around Thanksgiving.

Reservations will also be required for connecting bus routes to San Francisco, Napa, Santa Cruz and other Northern California locations.

Monthly, six-ride, and 10-ride tickets can still be used.

Multi-ride ticket holders will be required to confirm the details of each trip on the Amtrak website, app or with an Amtrak agent before traveling.

Due to social distancing guidelines, Capital Corridor will be limiting ticket sales during Thanksgiving week.
