A retired Fremont couple scored $750,000 off of a Lottery scratcher last week, according to NBC Bay Area.

The couple stopped at a convenience store in Fremont and let the person behind them move to the front of the line. That customer purchased a scratcher, so the couple did, too — and their kindness paid off in a big way.

The couple plans to invest the money after they buy a new truck.

While NBC Bay Area listed the purchase store as being a "Quick Stop" on Walnut Avenue in Fremont, the winning location is actually the Kwik Stop, located at 3157 Walnut Ave., according to a store manager.

That particular Kwik Stop is a "Lucky Retailer" with two winning lottery tickets sold at that location, according to the CA Lottery website. Last year, a Fremont couple won a whopping $52 million Mega Millions prize from a ticket purchased at the store.
