Sign Up for the Fremont's Citizen Police Academy

Classes begin Oct. 15 and are limited to 30 people.

Have you ever wanted to get an inside look at the Fremont Police Department? Now is your opportunity. Beginning, Tuesday, October 15, 2013, the Fremont Police Department will start it's 33rd Citizen Police Academy Class. The class will be limited to 25 - 30 attendee's and will fill fast, so don't delay and sign up today!!!

The free twelve session program will run for nine-weeks. The 40-hour academy generally meets one to two nights a week from 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM and one Saturday class will be scheduled to accommodate specialized training. All classes are mandatory.

The following schedule has been provided to allow participants a glance at the schedule, but the dates are still tentative at this time.  All sessions will be held at the Fremont Police Department from 7 p.m. - 10 p.m., unless otherwise noted.  Schedule:

Participants will learn about topics such as police selection and training, internal investigations, criminal law, patrol operations, communications, crime prevention, crime analysis, firearms training, critical incidents, narcotics, gangs, traffic enforcement and much more.
