Suspicious Package Results in Temporary Shutdown of BART Station
Package was found in bus zone of Fremont BART station

A suspicious package was spotted in the bus zone of the Fremont BART station this afternoon, prompting a temporary suspension of service to the station, according to a BART spokeswoman.
The package was reported at about 1:30 p.m. and was removed by BART police by 1:54 p.m., BART spokeswoman Alicia Trost said.Some Fremont-bound trains were turned around at Union City while police investigated the package, according to Trost.
Trains began running again at the Fremont BART station as of 2 p.m., but there were residual delays of about 20 minutes, Trost said.
