Tesla Opens Store at Fremont Factory

Despite manufacturing Tesla Motors’ award-winning Model S sedan here in Fremont, the city hasn’t had a proper store for the popular cars — until now. 

Earlier this week, Tesla unveiled its new Fremont store, located at the factory on 45500 Fremont Blvd.

The company-owned store will display a full production of the Model S and a stripped-down framework of the car to display its all-electric powertrain and battery setup. The luxury sedan has garnered high praises from car industry leaders such as Motor Trend and Consumer’s Reports for its ingenuity and performance.

The store will also have an interactive touchscreens allowing visitors to design their own Model S and learn more about driving electric cars, according to the company.

“The Tesla gallery is designed to invite everyone – from toddlers to great-grandparents – inside to experience Tesla,” Tesla Motors said in a press release. “You’ll never find a sign that says, ‘Do Not Touch.’”
