Tip-A-Cop Friday and Raise Money for Special Olympics
Fremont Police Department personnel will volunteer as waiters in exchange for tips. All tips will go to the Special Olympics of Northern California.
While Fremont police always looking for investigative leads, they'll be asking for a different kind of tip Friday night.
The department will partner with Strizzi's Restaurant at 2740 Mowry Ave. to host a "Tip-A-Cop" fundraiser from 6 to 9 p.m.Â
During the event, Fremont police personnel will volunteer as guest waiters in exchange for tips for the Special Olympics of Northern California. They money will provide Special Olympics athletes throughout the region with free year-round sports training and competition opportunities.Â
