Trick-or-Treat on Safety Street on Oct. 25

The event will feature Alice in Wonderland, Cars, Where the Wild Things Are and super hero themed attractions.

While Halloween haunted houses and “fright fests” are fun for teens and adults, they can be a real nightmare for smaller children.

Those looking for a more family-friendly alternative are invited to attend the City of Fremont’s annual Trick-or-Treat on Safety Street.

This year’s event will be held Friday, Oct. 25 at the Centerville Community Center, located at 3355 Country Dr. Two-hour event slots begin every 30 minutes at 5 p.m. Admission is $9 in advance or, if available, $15 at the door.

During the event, the community center will be transformed into a Halloween wonderland with scarecrows, pumpkins, ghosts and other creatures. Families can eat snacks at “Alice’s Wonderland Tea Party,” create crafts at the Cars-themed “Radiator Springs Auto Repair Shop,” and play games at the “Super Hero City Carnival” and “Where the Wild Things Are” Rumpus Room.

To register for the event, visit www.regerec.com. Search for keyword “Treat” in the Advanced Search menu.
