Vegetation Fire In Sunol Wednesday

SUNOL, CA — A small vegetation fire burned in Sunol Wednesday, in the the 1800 block of Geary Road, according to the Alameda County Fire Department.

The fire was near the Sunol Visitor Center, not far from the Canyon View Trailhead.

Joanna Leal, Public Affairs Manager for the fire department, told Patch that the fire was "approximately 40 x 40 feet and was mostly contained by the Park Ranger prior to ACFD Battalion Chief 2 and Cal Fire 14 arriving on scene. All other units were canceled."

The fire was reported shortly before 3:30 p.m.
