A TASTE OF UNION CITY: FOOD, BLUES AND WORLD MUSIC FESTIVAL
Where/When: Kennedy Park, 1333 Decoto Rd. in Union City; Saturday starting at 8 a.m.
Why Go: The daylong event boasts three stages of live music featuring blues, r&b, jazz, gospel, dance and world music, along with a car show, games, local food vendors, cooking demonstrations and more. The event begins with a free kick-off parade at 8 a.m., with festival gates opening at 9 a.m.Â
Price:Â Advance tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for kids. Tickets at the gate will cost $20 for adults and $12 for children.

Where/When: Aqua Adventure Water Park; 40500 Paseo Padre Pkwy. in Fremont; Saturday at 11 a.m.
Why Go: Enjoy a day at the water park full of games, food and live entertainment, including fire performers, dancers and singers. The event is also a fundraising gala for Boldy Me, an organization that focuses on building self-esteem, leadership skills and public awareness for people who feel different.Â

HISTORY TOUR OF DRY CREEK COTTAGE
Where/When: Dry Creek Gardens at Dry Creek/Pioneer Regional Park, Mission Boulevard and May Road in Union City; Saturday at 1 p.m.
Why Go: Explore more than 200 native and exotic plants at Dry Creek Cottage and Gardens in the Mission Hills along the Union City-Hayward border. Local historian Timothy Swenson will lead the tour of the site, which was built in 1900.

INCENDIO LIVE AT MISSION COFFEE
Where/When: Mission Coffee, 151 Washington Blvd. in Fremont; Saturday at 7 p.m.
Why Go: See guitar-driven instrumental world music band Incendio rock Mission Coffee. The band draws from a wide range of influences, from Latin and Middle Eastern music to jazz and rock.

Where/When: Ohlone College, 43600 Mission Blvd. in Fremont; Saturday at 8 p.m.
Why Go:Â Celebrate Mexican culture and dance at Ohlone College's Smith Center. The Ballet Folklorico Mexicano will feature a full mariachi band a vibrant cast of dancers showcasing traditional Mexican footwork.
Price:Â $15 to 20. Parking is $2.
