Alameda County Water District's 2nd annual WaterClips Student Video Contest honors students and teachers with scholarships

Fremont, Calif. – Alameda County Water District rolled out a virtual red carpet for Tri-City area student winners of the District’s 2nd annual WaterClips Student Video Contest! Winning videos focused on educating the community about planning and preparing for water emergencies. The District announced contest winners on May 13 at its monthly Board Meeting. Students and their families joined District Board Members and staff in an online presentation to honor each student’s award-winning video.
The contest kicked off in January and was open to Tri-City students in grades 6-12. More than 30 students submitted videos as individuals or in teams for a total of 27 entries. Qualifying entries met contest criteria, video theme and length.
The contest included Middle School and High School categories, with three winners selected from each group by a panel of local judges representing government, television and radio industries.
