Woman Reported Missing By Her Mother Shows Up On 'The Bachelor'
Rebekah Martinez told her mom she went to work on a pot farm. She was reported missing when her mother didn't hear from her.
FRESNO, CA — When a California news outlet posted photos on Facebook of missing people in Humboldt County and asked its followers if they recognized anyone, one person came forward and gave a rather unusual response: "Yep, Rebekah Martinez is on this season of The Bachelor..."
The astute commenter, Amy Bonner O'Brien, posted two photos as evidence: one was a picture of Martinez's contestant photo and the other was a picture of Martinez's missing persons' photo. O'Brien was right.
Samantha Karges, of the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office, told the North Coast Journal that Martinez, 22, of Fresno, had been reported missing on Nov. 18 by her mother.

“Martinez had reportedly come to Humboldt County to work on a marijuana farm. Her mother hadn’t heard from her since Nov. 12, 2017,” she wrote.
Martinez had posted on Sept. 17: "HI ALL i'm giving up my phone and social media for the next several weeks, so if you need to contact me, welll... tough luck!"

Martinez has posted several times on Instagram since she was reported missing.
The sheriff's office later told the news outlet that this was, in fact, the same Rebekah and that she was taken off the missing and unidentified persons unit.
On Friday, Martinez posted a photo of her face on the back of a milk carton with the caption: "Found myself, quite literally, on this season of The Bachelor. PSA: always call your mom back. "
She also quipped about the incident on Twitter.
