The fourth annual Steve’s Scholars Banquet will honor 36 seniors from eight high schools for meeting the Steve’s Scholars scholarship criteria from seventh through 12th grade. Each former Tehipite Middle School student maintained a 3.0 or better GPA, had 95% or greater attendance, completed A-G course requirements and completed community service hours. The students will receive $1,000 for each of their first two years of college. All families will receive a pre-recorded message from Superintendent Bob Nelson and Francine and Murray Farber, along with pictures of all scholarship recipients, as a keepsake.

The Farbers, who will attend, founded Steve’s Scholars in 2012 in memory of their son Steven Farber.

“Thanks to Francine and Murray Farber, a fourth group of seniors will benefit from Steve’s Scholars scholarships, helping them to a great start on their college journey,” said Superintendent Nelson.
