Ken Perez to Address 21st Annual Men's Retreat of Fresno's First Armenian Presbyterian Church

A longtime Menlo Park resident will keynote the 2020 Men’s Retreat of California’s oldest Armenian Church.

Ken Perez, Vice-President of Healthcare Policy at Omnicell, Inc will address the Men’s Retreat of the First Armenian Presbyterian Church (FAPC) of Fresno.

The retreat will take place February 21-23 at the 320-acre Hartland Christian Camp in the Sequoia National Forest, Tulare County. The theme of the weekend conference is “Crossing the Divide.” Retreat reservations may be made by e-mailing administration@fapc.net.

A native of Mobile, Alabama, Perez grew up in Bakersfield and excelled in debate and forensics. In 1982, he completed his undergraduate education at Leland Stanford, Jr. University, earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in International Relations with an emphasis in Economics. He was a member of the University Commission on Investment Responsibility and InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. Several years later he earned a Master of Business Administration degree with concentrations in finance and accounting at the UCLA Anderson School of Management.

His varied career has included stints at Hewlett-Packard Company, CyberCash, Inc., Jacent Technologies, Inc., Colabra LLC, MedeAnalytics, Inc, CliniCast, Inc., and KickFactory. He is a Board Member of New Community Church of Menlo Park, WellSpring, and the Dean’s Executive Council at the UCSF School of Nursing.

Perez is also a Director of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists Foundation and the Lowell Berry Foundation. He is a Past President of John Stott Ministries and has been Board Chair of the Los Angeles-based Lincoln Heights Tutorial Program for almost 30 years. Perez and his wife, Janet, have three adult children, Kristy, Steven, and David.

Forty immigrants from Marsovan chartered the Fresno congregation in a rented hall on July 25, 1897. FAPC is the boyhood church of authors William Saroyan and A.I. Bezzerides and documentary filmmaker J. Michael Hagopian. Reverend Gregory Vahack Haroutunian is the Senior Pastor and Stephen Goodale is the Director of Youth Ministries.

FAPC is a member congregation of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC) and the Armenian Evangelical Union of North America. The 2020 Theme of the Congregation is: “Love God. Love Others. Make Disciples.”
