Someone Keeps Stealing Hay From This California Farmer
Sheriff's officials said the loss has only been $250, but it could keep growing if the thief isn't caught.
FRESNO, CA -- A Fresno farmer has been the target of a hay thief, according to the Fresno County Sheriff's Office. Officials said a farmer with a ranch near Kearney Park noticed bales of hay slowly disappearing from his large stack, so he set up a camera to find the thief.
On May 29, the farmer checked his cameras and found images of a man stealing bales of alfalfa. He reported the theft to the Sheriff’s Ag Task Force, which took a report.
The suspect in the photo appears to be white or Hispanic, in his 30s or 40s with a mustache and goatee.

The vehicle he is seen driving is a black, newer model Chevrolet single cab pickup truck that is lowered with oversize black rims and a large dent on the right side of the bed. The truck has Haron Jaguar dealer paper plates on the front and a paper plate from VJ’s Auto Center on the back of the truck, officials said.
The total loss of hay is estimated to be $250, but will grow substantially if this problem continues, officials said.
