An alleged Morgan Hill burglar is caught leaving the scene of the crime.
MORGAN HILL - Morgan Hill police last week arrested a man suspected of burglarizing a local building as the man was leaving the scene of the alleged crime.
According to Morgan Hill police, officers responded on Saturday, July 9 to a report of a burglar alarm that had been triggered at 19500 Monterey Rd.
Businesses listed at the address include Josephine's Bakery and B&P Marine.

Police say when they arrived, they set up a perimeter around the area with the help of Santa Clara County sheriff's officers.
Morgan Hill police say they made contact with the suspect, 23-year-old Izaak Diaz, as he attempted to leave the area, and detained him.

A search of the complex was carried out utilizing ‪a K-9 dog. Police say evidence gathered after an investigation allowed them to link Diaz to the alleged crime.
Izaak Diaz was arrested and booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail on multiple counts of burglary, possession of a controlled substance, and being under the influence of a controlled substance.
