Amazon Snaps Up Prime Gilroy Real Estate: Report
The tech giant paid $31.3 million for the Gilroy properties on the east side of U.S. Highway 101 near the Gilroy Premium Outlets retail cent

GILROY, CA – Amazon Data Services has continued its Silicon Valley buying spree with the purchase multiple parcels totaling approximately 66 acres of Gilroy farmland this month, The San Jose Mercury News reports.
The tech giant paid $31.3 million for the Gilroy properties on the east side of U.S. Highway 101 near the Gilroy Premium Outlets retail center, the report said.
Amazon paid local developers John Filice and Eli Reinhard more than four times the assessed value of the properties according to the report, which said the properties’ most recent value had been assessed at $7.3 million.
