Christmas Hill Park Comes Alive as Thousands Attend Garlic Fest
Saturday is the festival's busiest day, volunteers said.
Cars crawled, lines swelled, the sun was shining and garlic was devoured–for the thousands who attended the Gilroy Garlic Festival on Saturday, there could be no better picture of the world-famous celebration of the pungent bulb.
Long-time volunteers said that Saturday was always busiest of the three-day festival. More than 100,000 people are expected to attend the 33rd edition of the event by the end of Sunday.
