Election Day Earthquake: 3.6-Magnitude Strikes In Nearby Monterey County
A 3.3-magnitude temblor hit in the region on Halloween. (Breaking)

MONTEREY COUNY, CA – An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.6 struck Monterey County Tuesday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The quake struck about 16 miles northeast of Greenfield at 4:55 p.m.
Four smaller earthquakes then hit the same area between 5 p.m. and 8:15 p.m., with preliminary magnitudes between 1.3 and 2.0., according to USGS logs.

An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.3 struck less than 17 miles east of King City Halloween morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The quake struck at 4:35 a.m. and was almost five miles deep. Two smaller earthquakes struck Monterey County on Sunday, according to the USGS.
