GILROY, CA — Gilroy-based Christopher Ranch, the largest garlic company in the United States, will offer the final batch of second doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to its workers on Friday.

In a news release, the company announced it had partnered with Santa Clara County to bring 1,000 vaccine doses to Gilroy and administered first doses earlier this month. Health officials from the county were on site to spread awareness about the importance of being vaccinated, according to the news release.

The county has made an effort to reach farmworkers as part of its vaccine distribution. On Sunday, over 480 farm workers at Morgan Hill-based Monterey Mushrooms received their second dose. Those workers also received their first dose earlier this month.
