Gilroy City Council Election Results 2020: Live Updates
Gilroy voters have cast their ballots for three open seats.
GILROY, CA — Firefighter/paramedic Zach Hilton led Gilroy City Council race as of Wednesday morning.
Hilton, who is among five candidates vying for three seats, had received 8,034 votes (24.95 percent) as of 5 p.m. with 62 percent of Santa Clara County’s vote counted. The county expects to update its count Thursday at 9 a.m.
Incumbent Fred M. Tovar is in second place with 7,447 votes and union business representative Rebeca Armendariz is in third place with 6,519 votes.

The other candidates are incumbent Carol Marques and retired financial officer Danny Mitchell.
