Gilroy Gardens To Open Spooky 'Halloween@Night' Experience

The Halloween@Night experience opens Friday, Sept. 29.

GILROY, CA - From Gilroy Gardens: Halloween@Night is an all-new evening experience opening at Gilroy Gardens Family Theme Park on Friday, September 29. In addition to its regular daytime hours, the park will be open on Friday,Saturday and Sunday evenings from 7:00 to 10:00 pm through October 29. On Opening Weekend (September 29 through October 1), Gilroy residents can attend the special nighttime event for only $10.

As the sun goes down each night, the majestic trees and gardens will be lighted with a mysterious glow. Guests are encouraged to stroll through the park and marvel at the beauty of Sycamore Bridge, the mystery of Claudia's Garden, and the majesty of Palm Alley. Spectacular light displays and fountains will illuminate the park's many water features, including Bonfante Falls and Coyote Lake.

There will also be plenty of fun for all ages, from spooky storytelling around a fire pit to nighttime rides on the South County Backroads. The Marketplace will feature specialty food and drink, plus games and Halloween-themed crafts. Episodes of popular TV classics like Bewitched, The Munsters, and The Addams Family will be broadcast at the Lakeside Amphitheater. Young children are encouraged to come in costume and "Trick or Treat" at six stations throughout the park.

Gilroy Gardens General Manager Barb Granter said, "We are so excited to introduce this extraordinary evening experience to our guests! As people learned last year during Lumination, the park is truly amazing at night, and the light displays and fountains will be gorgeous. We're offering lots of fun activities that are a little bit spooky but not too scary-for everyone from families with young kids to couples looking for something different to do on date night. We encourage Gilroy residents to take advantage of the special offer, come out for Opening Weekend, and help us spread the word about this exciting new event!"

General admission at the gate for Halloween@Night is $30, or as low as $20 when purchased in advance online. Gilroy Gardens 2018 Premium Passholders are admitted for free. The Opening Weekend special rate of $10 is offered to Gilroy residents who present a valid form of ID showing a current address (September 29 through October 1 only). Most rides will not be running during the night-time event, and tickets are not valid for daytime park entrance.Halloween@Night is the first of three night-time events planned for 2017.

Harvest@Night in November will be a beer, wine and food festival geared toward a 21-and-over crowd, with fine wines, craft beers, gourmet food, and live entertainment.Holiday@Night will open in December and feature visits with Santa, ice skating under the stars, and twinkling holiday lights throughout the park.To purchase single tickets or season memberships online, go to www.gilroygardens.org/gardens@night.
