GILROY, CA — Gilroy Gardens is slated to reopen on Saturday after being closed for more than an entire year due to the pandemic, and the theme park will be celebrating its 20th anniversary a year late.

Reservations are required for those who want to return immediately and capacity will be limited at first, and face coverings are required while in the park. Patrons will be asked at the front gate if they have experienced any COVID-19 symptoms over the past 10 days or have been exposed to someone who has.

The park said it will provide plenty of hand sanitizer and clean frequently touched surfaces and bathrooms. Some areas, rides and attractions where social distancing is difficult, like Water Oasis, will remain closed, and patrons will be encouraged to social distancing throughout the park.
