Gilroy, Hollister Police Respond To Hit-And-Run
A car hit a fire hydrant on Thursday night, leading to a "geyser of water" spouting out.
HOLLISTER, CA — The Gilroy Police Department assisted in responding to a hit-and-run incident in Hollister late Thursday night.
According to a Facebook post by the Hollister Police Department, a car struck a fire hydrant near Buena Vista Road and Brandy Court. The fire hydrant was sheered from its base, resulting in a "geyser of water" spouting out.
The Hollister Public Works Department responded to shut off the water. The suspect's vehicle was tracked down and impounded.
