Gilroy Police Resolve Suspicious White Van Incident
After a caller reported a man in a white van ran toward a young girl, police said they tracked down the van and resolved the incident.
GILROY, CA — Police in Gilroy say they were able to locate a white unmarked van Friday afternoon that a caller earlier reported as suspicious and identify and interview the occupants.
"It was determined the individuals were delivering newspapers for a local company," police said in a news release. "Pursuant to an investigation, they were released at the scene with no further action taken at this time."
A caller at 12:30 p.m. had reported that a man got out of the van and ran toward a young female juvenile sitting on steps on the side of a house, according to the Gilroy Police Department.

The man left when the girl's mother came out of the house.
The van was located through the help of several calls from the public, police said.
