GILROY, CA — Following feedback by southern Santa Clara County riders, Caltrain officials are adjusting the southbound schedule this fall starting Monday in Gilroy.

  • Caltrain No. 262 will provide service to all stations from Tamien to downtown Gilroy as well as provide a stop at the Lawrence Station.
  • Caltrain No. 274 will no longer serve stations south of Tamien and will stop service there. The last train to stations south of Tamien will be No. 268.

The northbound schedule will remain the same.

The adjustment resulted from a survey conducted last April as a means of improving service on the Caltrain corridor between Gilroy and San Jose. Caltrain officials collaborated with the cities of Gilroy, Morgan Hill and San Jose as well as representatives from the Valley Transportation Authority and Santa Clara County.
