Gilroy Stabbing: Man in Critical Condition
Two people were injured in an early-morning stabbing on Saturday.

On June 22 at approximately 3:14 a.m., Gilroy police officers responded to the 800 Block of East Eighth Street for a report of a physical fight involving multiple subjects.
Officers arrived and located two victims suffering from stab wounds. A 24-year-old man from Grass Valley suffered multiple life-threating stab wounds and was transported to a South Bay Trauma center where he is listed in critical condition. A 23-year-old Gilroy man also sustained multiple non-life threatening stab wounds. He was treated at an area hospital and released a short time after.Â
Gilroy Police Detectives and crime scene investigators responded to the scene to assume the investigation. Their investigation is on-going and they are currently following-up on leads to determine a motive and location of the outstanding suspect. This incident does not appear to have been motivated by gang affiliation.Â
