Helmet Heist Nets $9,500

An unknown number of suspects stole thousands of dollars worth of Fox brand motorcycle gear after forcing open the side window of a recreational vehicle in Gilroy on June 13, according to Gilroy police.
A report of the burglary came in to police at 11:22 a.m. Suspects stole a $3,800 projector, along with $3,200 in helmets and $2,500 in other gear, according to police.
The RV was parked on the 9600 block of Monterey Street, near the intersection of Day Road.
