Jeff Garcia To Host Football Camp In Gilroy Next Week

Garcia, a former 49ers QB, graduated from Gilroy High in 1988 and also attended Gavilan College before transferring to San Jose State.

GILROY, CA — Former San Francisco 49ers Pro Bowl quarterback and Gilroy High School star Jeff Garcia will host a football camp in Gilroy next week.

The Jeff Garcia Hometown Football Camp will take place on July 8 and 9 at Kirigin Cellars, with different days for different age groups ranging from 5 to 17. The cost is $55 per participant.

Garcia, 51, graduated from Gilroy High in 1988 and also attended nearby Gavilan College before transferring to San Jose State. He went to become the starting quarterback of the 49ers, where he made three Pro Bowl teams and led the franchise to two playoff appearances.

According to the camp’s website, skills to be taught during the session include: leadership, teamwork, competition, excitement, motivation and, of course, football.
