Man Accused Of DUI Arrested In Connection With Fatal Crash: CHP
The San Jose man was taken to the hospital then arrested involving a crash that killed a Hollister woman Sunday night, CHP reported.
GILROY, CA — A Hollister woman died in a fatal collision on State Route 25 on Sunday night when a vehicle driven by a San Jose man believed to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs struck her car head on, the California Highway Patrol announced Monday.
Ernesto Hernandez, 28, was transported to the hospital and arrested on suspicion of drunken driving, the CHP added.
The crash involving Hernandez's 2006 Mercedes and the unidentified woman's 2017 Nissan occurred at 5:05 p.m.
