Man Fatally Shot In Gilroy, Police Investigating Homicide

GILROY, CA — A man was fatally shot in Gilroy shortly after midnight on Tuesday and police are investigating the incident as a homicide.
In a news release, the Gilroy Police Department said the shooting occurred at the intersection of Railroad Street and Martin Street. Officers found a 48-year-old Hispanic male with at least one gunshot wound. He was transported to a local trauma center where he was later pronounced dead.
The victim's name is being withheld while the next of kin is notified. Gilroy police are investigating the case. No information on suspects or further details were immediately provided.
