Motorcycle Rider Injured In Morgan Hill Crash: Police

The Hollister man riding on a motorcycle discovered stolen had been traveling earlier at a high rate of speed, according to witnesses.

MORGAN HILL, CA — A 38-year-old Hollister man riding a motorcycle was transported to Valley Medical Center with major injuries after colliding with a vehicle Wednesday afternoon in Morgan Hill, police said.

At about 1:45 p.m., Morgan Hill Police responded to the intersection of Monterey Road and Tennant Avenue on report of a motorcycle crash. When officers arrived on scene, they located the involved vehicles and a male subject in the intersection.

Emergency personnel began rescue efforts. he identity of the 38 year old Hollister resident is being withheld until notifications are made. The driver of the involved vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. Officers observed no signs the motorist was driving while under the influence.

Prior to the collision, witnesses observed the motorcyclist traveling southbound on Monterey Road at a high rate of speed. Officers later determined the motorcycle was reported stolen.
