Poll Asks America Which States Are the Drunkest, Most Favorite, Have Ugliest Residents
California is considered the 'craziest state' but also has the 'hottest residents.' See how else California stacks up against the other states.

After seeing a poll that asked Europeans what they thought of other European countries, Business Insider talked to their polling partner SurveyMonkey Audience to expand the questions and try it on Americans, to see how they felt about other states.Â
They asked 1,603 respondents to answer each question with a state that wasn't their own. The poll was carried out using SurveyMonkey's Audience feature.
According to the Business Insiderarticle, SurveyMonkey's Audience feature was more accurate predicting the 2012 election than numerous traditional pollsters.Â
The results of the poll show that California is considered the most "overrated" and "craziest" state with the "hottest" residents.

California comes in third as the smartest state and second as the most arrogant. We’re not the drunkest state, however. That’s Louisiana. And we’re not the one with the weirdest accent. We’ll leave that Massachusetts. But California does get honorable mention for best food and besides their own state, people had the highest opinion of California.
