Sobrato High Claims First Stinky Rose Water Polo Tournament Title

The competition drew eight teams to Christopher High last weekend.

Christopher High hosted its inaugural Stinky Rose Girls Water Polo Tournament last weekend. 

Schools from San Jose, Santa Cruz, Morgan Hill, Gilroy and Monterey joined in 16 games, according to Christopher High School Girls Water Polo Coach Jim Shuster.

Ann Sobrato High School from Morgan Hill went undefeated to win the tournament. Here are the results:

  2. Evergreen Valley HS
  3. Monterey HS
  4. Christopher HS
  5. Live Oak HS
  6. Harbor HS
  7. Scotts Valley HS
  8. Robert Lewis Stevenson HS
Sobrato High also had four all-tournament players: Abby Pfferlen, Laeni Gross, Izzy Okanura and Lana Burnett. 

Shannon Cry and Colleen Mayone of Monterey High; Jessica Burtleff and Vivian Zhang of Evergreen High; Morgan Teddleton of Live Oak High School, Harbor High's Jazmin Bale and Bella Marquez of Christopher High also made the all-tournament team.
