Suspect In Hit-and-run Fatal South Bay Crash Fled Scene: CHP

MORGAN HILL, CA — A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle driven by a motorist who left the scene off McKean Road near Country View Drive between south San Jose and Morgan Hill, the California Highway Patrol reported Friday.

The body of the 58-year-old San Jose woman was found in the thick brush of the right shoulder of the roadway by a passing motorist. She has not been identified yet.

CHP has seized as evidence a right side-view mirror from a Ford F-150 pickup and seeks helps finding the motorist as well as any other pertinent information involving Thursday's hit-and-run crash that occurred between 9:30 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. Anyone with information to add is asked to call 408-848-2324.
