Season's First Peaches Debut at Farmers Market

New soap, clothing and other vendors will also take part this week.

UPDATE: Falafel Fresh will not be joining the market this week. Check the featured attendees below.

Have you been to the Gilroy farmers market? organized through this year’s Leadership Gilroy class, the Gilroy Demonstration Garden’s Catalina Ventura has been working to bring new goodies to the market every week.

Visit the market at 7341 Monterey St. Sunday, from 10 a.m–2 p.m.

What’s on the table this Sunday?

  • Italian baking: Alonzo Bakery will bring beautiful (and delicious) Italian baked goods.
  • Two new soap vendors: Plain Jane and Bell Hill will be on hand to offer their soaps (don’t forget to ask Bell Hill why goats milk soap is great for the skin).
  • First peaches of the season: Courtesy Frog Hollow
  • Organic potatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, peppers: All from Nunez Organic Farm
  • Seasonal produce: From La Milpa
  • Pooch fashion passion: Sassy Loot will bring “blingy” and Day of the Dead clothes for dogs (and little humans, too)
  • Delicious fruit: The Vasquez Family Farm has been a major supporter since the market began on June 5, and they’ll be bringing back “the most amazing and juicy organic strawberries, red and golden raspberries and blueberries,” said Market Manager Ventura.

These are only some of the items available at the market–to know the rest, be there!
