These Calif. Beaches Are Among 'America’s Best To Celebrate 4th Of July': List
It's a day when America does indeed shine from sea to sea.

Along with the likes of Martha’s Vineyard and Key West, two California beaches -- one in Northern California and one in Southern California -- rocketed to the top of a recent list by Travel and Leisure of “The Best Beaches in the U.S. for Celebrating the Fourth of July.”
So what makes Monterey Bay and Huntington Beach among the most patriotic slices of American coastline?
According to Travel and Leisure, the main draw of Monterey Bay is not only a festive 4th of July parade known to attract crowds numbering 15,000 to Old Monterey, but the region’s beautiful bits of shoreline such as Lovers Point Park and Beach in Pacific Grove, San Carlos Beach Park, Fort Ord Dunes State Park and Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, as well as its proximity to all that the San Francisco Bay Area has to offer.
