Volunteers To Help Homeless People: Gilroy Hero

GILROY, CA — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we're working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

This submission comes from Shawn Weymouth, who nominated volunteer Sam Brown.

Reason for recognition: Sam became concered when the VPITSTOP OUTREACH has a mission to work in partnership with unhoused residents of Gilroy to improve their safety, health, and well-being, and to meet basic needs. He does this with no out side funding, only donations.

One thing to know: Sam Brown is a tireless champion, a dedicated warrior for the Gilroy homeless community.
