Were You Stuck In Saturday Bus and Train Jam For Sharks Game?
Here's why: Nearly a quarter of attendees opted for public transportation.

There were long delays on public transit after the San Jose Sharks game at Levi’s Stadium Saturday because an unusual number of fans opted for public transit, Valley Transportation Authority officials said.
Twice as many fans took VTA buses and trains to Levi’s Stadium for the hockey game than previous events, officials with VTA said.
The large number overwhelmed the transit system, causing long wait times for customers on their way home after the game.

Nearly 16,000 people or 24 percent of the game’s fans took a VTA bus or train to the game.
The transportation authority moves an average of 8,000 people per hour on its light rail system after a San Francisco 49ers game, VTA officials said. VTA trains were packed five hours before the game began and two hours before the beginning of special game day service.
