Azusa School Board reappoints officers for another year

Helen Jaramillo to serve as Board president again

The Azusa Unified School Board decided they like things the way they are when it comes to Board officers for the coming year. At its regular meeting on Dec. 12, Board members voted for Helen Jaramillo (pictured back row, left) to serve as School Board president for another year.

The School Board also reelected Xilonin Cruz-Gonzalez (back row, right) for another one-year term as Board vice president. Paul Naccachian (back row, center) was selected to serve another term as Board clerk.

President Jaramillo said it’s a pleasure serving the needs of students with her colleagues. “This is an exciting time for our school district,” she said. “We have strong, visionary leadership and are making progress on all fronts, from overall student academic achievement and increasing graduation rates to important school modernization projects funded by Measure K.”
