Body Of Man Found Near San Gabriel Valley Railroad Tracks

The body of a white male in his 40s was discovered by railroad tracks in Glendora. He had not been hit by a train, according to the coroner.

SAN GABRIEL VALLEY, CA -- The body of a white male in his 40s was found near railroad tracks in Glendora around 10 a.m. Thursday morning, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner.

Glendora police officers, doing a homeless outreach detail, discovered the body at Grand Avenue and Foothill Boulevard at 10:09 a.m. Thursday, Lt. Marty Barrett said.

The man hadn’t been hit by a train, Barrett said, but foul play is not suspected in his death.

The coroner’s office declined to release the man’s name until his family was notified, according to Coroner’s spokeswoman Sarah Ardalani.
