Citrus College Lockdown Lifted After Pursuit Ends Near Campus

Residents are asked to stay away from the area till the scene is cleared. There is no danger to the community.

GLENDORA, CA — A pursuit that ended near Citrus College prompted police to warn residents to stay indoors. The college was placed under lockdown as the situation unfolded.

Azusa Pacific University, which is also near the area where the pursuit ended, issued a shelter-in-place order for the school's east and west campus. The order has since been lifted.

Azusa police said there is a containment in the area of North Citrus Avenue and West Foothill Boulevard, right on the Azusa/Glendora border. Police said some subjects had been detained in the area and there was no concern for the community at this point.

The scene is safe and resident are free to move around. However, there is still a heavy police presence in the area.
