A Love Letter To Gary

A chance encounter at their local bar led to marriage for this Glendora couple.

To celebrate Valentine’s Day, we asked Patch readers to write a love letter to that special someone and let us deliver it. This is Kelli Anthony’s love letter for her husband, Gary:

Dearest Gary,

Our love story will forever be a precious treasure to me.

Meeting you at T Philipps on September 15, 2014, a quiet Monday night, was something special in and of itself. We lived within a few blocks of each other and both spent a lot of time at T’s, but had never met before. In fact, that was my first time ever going there on a Monday!

We hit it off right away! I felt so at ease with you. You were so comfortable to hang out with and talk to. We exchanged phone numbers and called it a night.

Although we didn’t make plans to see each other again, we did see each other again at none other than T Philipps about a couple weeks later. You were there with Bob, and I was there with Ariane and Melissa. We spent more time together that night and I was so attracted to you I didn’t want to leave, but we did go our separate ways that night.

A couple weeks later, we had our first date. You invited me over for dinner and you made grilled salmon, asparagus and sweet potatoes. It was so nice being treated like a lady. You made me feel special, like you really wanted me in your life.

We were pretty much inseparable after that, and on March 1, 2015, almost six months after we met, you asked me to marry you…at T Philipps! Of course I said yes, and we were married on April 29, 2015.

I absolutely love being your wife! You are the most wonderful husband a woman could hope for. I love our life together and I love you!

Forever yours,

Kelli
